The Justice of Rio de Janeiro has established that Rafael Ilha be heard in the rogatory letter in Sao Paulo, in the next few days, in the trial that the family of councilor Marielle Franco is bringing against the singer for offenses to her honor and her memory. The former member of the Polegar group participated in the podcast in intelligence courts, in August 2021, in which she stated that “Marielle was involved in crime” and was “elected by organized crime”. According to the decision of Judge Sandro LĂșcio Barbosa Pitassi, the crimes have been removed from the air and the contents will have to be kept by Google until the end of the trial.

The lawsuit seeks R$100,000 in damages, if convicted. Marielle Franco and her chauffeur, Anderson Gomes, were murdered in March 2018.
