According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes herself has reached out for help after the psychotic episode
The former teen star Amanda Bynes was checked into a psychiatric clinic after being found walking naked and alone on the streets of Los Angeles. The information was released by tmz extension this Monday the 20th.
The actress walked naked through the streets of the city on Sunday the 19th. At one point, Amanda greeted a driver and asked for help. She reported having suffered a psychotic break. She herself called the police to help her.
Police sources told the US website that she was taken to a nearby police station. There, after being examined by a mental health team, it was determined that she needed to be hospitalized. OR tmz extension says this type of hospitalization lasts about 72 hours, but can be extended.
Bynes, who came out of guardianship nearly a year ago — she was under her mother’s guardianship from 2013 to 2022 due to mental health issues — is known for her work in All a Girl Wants (2003) AND She’s the Man (2006). The former star has been away from Hollywood since 2010, when she filmed her latest film, The lie.
