Vasily Utkin saved her from depression

At the age of 17, Laysan’s navicular bone was crushed. She spent many hours in the operating room and then spent two months in the hospital. According to the athlete, she got used to a different rhythm of life, so she began to feel depressed without work. She was brought back to life by commentator Vasily Utkin. He arranged a trip to a nightclub and almost forced Laysan to go with him. Utyasheva recalled that in company she felt lighter and could dance.

When Laysan was 11, his mother was offered a job in Moscow.
