OR Canadian TikToker Harrison Gilks ​​​​​​died at the age of 18 years after documenting the journey to complete her bucket list while suffering from incurable cancer. The teenager died “peacefully” on March 30, along with his parents and brother. He has been diagnosed rhabdomyosarcomaa type of cancer that forms in the tissues, in June 2022.

Harrison shared with his 314,000+ TikTok followers videos that make some of your dreams come true before dying. He has traveled to different parts of the world, taken a helicopter ride, watched his favorite games and even met athletes that he was a fan of.

Shortly after his trip to Mexico, he began to feel ill and discovered that the the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs. “The doctors said I don’t have much time left. I will stay in the hospital for the rest of the time I have left,” she said in a video shared on March 21.

“Obviously it’s very upsetting. I wish there was something you guys could do, or I could do, or doctors could do – but there isn’t. That’s how it works,” he lamented. In the sequence, he thanked the support of followers and asked for prayers. “The best thing you can do is pray for me. I have said many prayers. Pray for me and my family. It was a good trip” concluded Harrison, who disappeared a few days later on March 30.

Earlier this week, his brother David posted a video to Harrison’s account confirming his death. “He was in no pain when he died and was with his family. I just wanted to come here and thank everyone around the world for their support and encouragement. It really meant a lot to him.”

Diagnosis

Harrison Gilks ​​was first diagnosed with cancer in November 2020, after two years in remission the disease returned and this time it was untreatable. In June 2022, he broke the news to his followers about him. “This isn’t the normal kind of thing I post, but today I found out I have terminal cancer. I’ve had a bit of cancer free, but unfortunately it’s come back. The reason I’m posting this is because I would like to make a small series, do a lot of things I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.
