What is the uniqueness of the Russian woman: a piercing quote from Valentin Yudashkin explains everything

The fashion designer throughout his life sewed clothes for our compatriots and knew a lot not only about stylish styles, but also about the real Russian soul.

After many years of battling cancer, the great Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin passed away, and with him an entire era. Luckily, we have plenty of interviews with the couturier, in which you can learn a lot of his interesting thoughts on life.

For example, in one of his long-time conversations with journalists, Yudashkin spoke about the phenomenon of Russian women. Valentin with a voluminous expression destroyed the myth that our ladies do not like and do not know how to take care of themselves, and made an iron argument in favor of the uniqueness of Russian women and their advantages over to foreign women.

“There is a widespread stereotype that our women are less groomed than in the West. It is from the same opera that we have eternal winter and bears walk the streets. They always, even in difficult times of small salaries, looked for the opportunity to dress beautifully, found fashionable lipstick, perfume. This fact is somehow forgotten now, – said the late fashion maestro.

Valentin Yudashkin stuck to a similar view amid the coronavirus pandemic. Then he noted that no restrictions in the form of medical face masks and enforced isolation will stop a real woman from being herself and pursuing beauty:

“I think women, like no one else, want to go out more, dress up and be loved. That’s what a woman is: she’ll figure out how to be the best in any story – with a mask , without a mask, in pants or a miniskirt.

The only thing that the Russian fashion designer sincerely did not understand and condemn was the reluctance to invest in his own beauty. According to Yudashkin, a real woman simply cannot save on herself.

Do you agree with the fashion designer’s opinion on Russian women?
