Angelina Jolie launches a collaborative fashion brand

Actress and activist Angelina Jolie announced on her Instagram this Wednesday (17/5) the launch of her first fashion brand, titled Atelier Jolie. With this venture, the artist tries to expand her activities into the business world.

In the official press release, Angelina detailed the brand’s proposal, which intends to launch a collaborative fashion. The main objective is to allow consumers to assume the role of designer of their own pieces, establishing a direct connection with specialized tailors, engravers and craftsmen. This way, customers will be able to create and own one-of-a-kind, personalized pieces that reflect their individual styles and preferences.

“Why just buy someone else’s design when you can create your own?” Jolie asked in the post. “We can all reap, appreciate, and be influenced by the creation of others. But the greatest form of self-expression—and, I think, the most enjoyable—is creating for yourself,” she adds.

With a sustainable bias, the company also aims to respect creative communities and foster self-discovery. The brand prioritizes environmental concerns, using exclusively vintage materials and textile waste, both carefully selected and curated in-house. “You’ll be able to repair or recycle a piece of your wardrobe that you’d like to revive, perfecting the fit, breathing new life into what could have been thrown away, and creating clothes with personal meaning,” she explained.

The artist also announces that he intends to create opportunities for various professionals, regardless of socioeconomic status. “We will highlight the people who play a role in every creation. We will bring together a diverse team, including refugee internships and other talented and underrated groups, with dignified positions based on ability,” she points out. “By working with global artisans and creators, we hope to help share the richness of their cultural heritage and support the development of their businesses,” Jolie continues.

In the post, the actress and entrepreneur tagged Atelier Jolie’s official Instagram page, @atelierjolieofficial, and showed off the logo created by Peter Miles, an artistic director who has collaborated with brands such as Celine and Gabriela Hearst.

However, it did not disclose when the production of clothes will begin and, in fact, how the work will play out in practice: the job of a seamstress in clothing recycling involves complex shipping logistics.
