Johnny Depp is proud of the “rotten teeth” that went viral in Cannes

Photos of Johnny Depp (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) with “rotten teeth” during the premiere of his new film, “Jeanne Du Barry” at the Cannes Film Festival have gone viral on the Internet, causing people to question the health care of the actor.

In fact, it is not today that he keeps the yellow smile. The controversy brought to light a 1995 interview in which the actor claimed to take pride in not treating his teeth, including cavities and stains.

In a conversation with the French magazine Première, Depp even boasted of teeth that defy the standards then – and much more today. “I have a lot of cavities,” he boasted. “Eight years ago I did a root canal and it’s unfinished. It’s like a little rotten stump,” he continued.

On Twitter, users made fun of the situation. “Don’t you see, Johnny Depp needed that money from Amber’s trial to buy toothpaste,” one of them sneered, referring to Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber following allegations of abuse by the actress.

Another person also commented on the situation by retweeting a post saying “I miss dentistry like this” with two photos of grossly rotten teeth. “Johnny Depp’s teeth,” she compared her, mockingly.

A third netizen also commented: “Every time someone comes to tell me that Johnny Depp is handsome, I always ask: have you seen that man’s teeth?”, he criticized.

The actor has yet to comment on the repercussions of his Cannes photos.
