She was born in Nutbush in November 1939, registered as Anna Mae Bullock. Tina Turner only appeared in 1959, according to the Yahoo International report. Her stage name was created by her ex-husband, Ike, with whom she began her career.
After Ike’s explosive behavior and drug use, the partner ended the relationship, but asked to continue using the last name and was given permission.
