Shannen Doherty, Brenda from “Barrados no Baile”, reveals that cancer has spread to her brain

In the video (which sharing is not authorized) the American actress cries while undergoing a CAT scan, an exam that certified brain metastases, performed last January 5 and shared only now. She says a week later, she had her first round of radiation.

“On January 5, my CT scan showed the metastases in my brain. Yesterday’s video (Tuesday 6th) showed the process of wearing the mask you have to wear during the examination (which uses radiation). January 12 was the first round of radiotherapy,” says Shannen, in the caption of the images.

“My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there is a lot going on in my life. I am lucky to have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and wonderful technicians from (Cedar Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles, USA). But fear. .. the hustle… the timing of it all… that’s what cancer is like,” he confessed.

Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but the disease had spread to her lymph nodes. In 2016, the actress made a mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy sessions. In February 2020, she confirmed that the disease had returned.

“In Breast Cancer Awareness Month I’d like to share more about my personal journey from my first diagnosis to my second. Is that all good? No, but it’s honest and my hope in sharing it is that we all become educated and familiar with what ‘is cancer,” he stressed at the time.

She continued: “I hope to encourage people to get mammograms, regular checkups, to overcome the fear and face whatever is ahead of them. In 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy as well as chemotherapy and radiation ”.

Shannen Doherty also said she had several nose bleeds due to chemo. “I don’t know if any of you have been through this too. I was really tired too. I cheered myself up wearing cute pajamas my friend Kristy gave me. Did they really cheer me up? Yeah! I looked ridiculous and with that, I was able to laugh at myself. Finding humor helped me overcome what seemed impossible to me. I wish we all could find humor in the impossible,” the actress said.
