Simaria talks about Simone’s solo career: ‘I want him to grow and follow his own path’

In an interview at the Best New Artist Showcase event, at the Latin Grammy Awards, in Sao Paulo, on Wednesday 12, Simaria commented on his solo career after the end of the duo with Simonin August 2022.

Together for ten years, the singer said she wishes her sister success. Both have already released new sertanejo hits in their solo careers.

“I’m happy, because the songwriters who wrote for the duo continue to write for her, so there was no going wrong. The guys are amazing. I want her to grow and follow her own path. This is my win. Simone is my sister, my blood,” he said in an interview with Quem.

The announcement, at the time, was via a post on social media.

“Out of respect for their fans, friends and partners, Simone and Simaria officially communicate that the duo’s activities are closed. The artists follow, from here on, a solo career realized by Simone,” the sisters said in the statement.

Simaria specified, also through the note, that she will be temporarily away from the stage to take care of her children and her vocal condition: “I continue to fulfill my advertising commitments and plan the next steps of my artistic career. To our fans, all my affection, love and gratitude, you are my fuel to keep going”.

Simaria stayed away from the stage for a few months and Simone completed the end of the former duo’s concert schedule.
