Carioca singers Ludmilla and Filipe Ret have “broke through” the internet with a controversial bet involving two of Rio de Janeiro’s biggest soccer teams. The artists bet 100,000 reais on the winner of the match between Fluminense and Flamengo, scheduled for this Sunday the 16th.

It all started when Ret, who is a fan of the Tricolore, posted a video of a ring studded with the Fluminense championship in his stories on Instagram. The singer, a Flamengo fan, provoked Ret, stating that “Mengão will crush” his friend’s team and that, after the match, the ring would no longer have any value.

Filipe didn’t let himself escape and republished Lud’s message on his Twitter profile, inviting the singer to place a bet worth R$ 100,000 for the fan of the team that wins the Fla-Flu. Ludmilla accepted the offer and wrote: “Closed, I’ll wait for the photo tomorrow, no crying”.

The bet drove fans of the artists crazy. There were those who said that Ret “likes to lose money”, while another internet user asked Ludmilla if she knew that she “would have lost 100,000 reais”.

Fluminense and Flamengo face off on Sunday, at 4 pm, at the Maracanã, for the 15th round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro is 2nd in the standings, behind only Botafogo. Fluminense occupies the 4th place.
