Forgot to cut: the worst bloopers of cult films – from Harry Potter to Pulp Fiction

Cinema is a collective art, as you know. But sometimes even thousands of eyes miss a mistake – and it stays in the final edit. However, upon viewing, we get so enthralled with the plot that sometimes we don’t even notice the outspoken jambs. And they are – we tell you about stupid inaccuracies in cult films.

“Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” (2019)

Rick Dalton, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, flies to Hollywood aboard a Boeing 747. But in reality, this model airplane entered service in January 1970, and the film takes place in 1969.

“Pretty Woman” (1990)

In the breakfast scene, Julia Roberts’ character bites into a croissant in one go, and in the next she is already eating a pancake.

“North by Northwest” (1959)

One of the child extras in an Alfred Hitchcock film plugs his ears seconds before Grace Kelly’s character unexpectedly pulls a gun on Cary Grant’s character.

“Pulp Fiction” (1994)

In the famous scene with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, bullet holes are visible on the walls of the apartment before the shooting. However, many Tarantino fans are sure the director did it on purpose. Others insist that this detail is still an oversight by the filmmakers, since at the very first second, when the characters enter the room, there are still no holes.

“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” (2003)

In the film, the numbers of John Connors’ Cessnas constantly change. When the plane is in the hangar, it is always N3035C, and on takeoff it is already N3413F.

“The Wizard of Oz” (1939)

Heroine Judy Garland’s red shoes are one of the film’s most famous details. But in one scene they are “lost” – when the trees are throwing apples at Dorothy and the Scarecrow, the actress can be seen in simple black shoes.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 2” (2011)

The movie keeps repeating that Harry Potter inherited blue eyes from his mother. But when you see Lily Potter as a child, she has brown eyes.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

In the film’s final scene, a member of the film crew wearing a cowboy hat can be seen on the ship, which accidentally entered the frame.

“Braveheart” (1995)

Against the background of a large battle scene (and the action of the film takes place in the XIII century, let’s recall), a modern car is visible.

“Halloween” (1978)

John Carpenter’s slasher, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, is set in the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois, but all the cars have California license plates and there are palm tree shots, because the film was shot in Southern California.

“Gladiator” (1999)

Ridley Scott’s epic film is set centuries before the advent of gasoline-powered vehicles. But during the Battle of Carthage, a gas canister can be seen in the rear of the tank when it rolls over.
