“Frozen” will win an unprecedented audio adventure

Walt Disney Studios is bringing the “Frozen” universe to life like never before. The animated film, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has a third film in production, will win an audio drama titled “Frozen: Forces of Nature.”

This new project acts as a bridge between “Frozen 2” and “Frozen 3” and will be published in collaboration with Disney Publishing Worldwide, ABC Audio and Walt Disney Animation Studios. The series will introduce new characters such as Queen Disa and Lord Wolfgang along with popular sisters Elsa and Anna.

The narrative accompanies Queen Anne, who has many responsibilities in her kingdom and is in a complex situation. With visitors to the kingdom, a friend in need and even the Duke of Weselton’s nephew operating undercover, Anna must act fast when the Spirits of Nature begin to awaken. The sisters’ search for answers leads them to the Enchanted Forest, where they discover mysterious copper machines that disrupt the natural order. The big question is: who created these machines and how can they be stopped?

Liz Alesse, Vice President of ABC Audio, expressed enthusiasm for the project in a statement. “ABC Audio is thrilled to introduce the power of audio storytelling to a new generation through the Disney Frozen Podcast. This immersive series created in partnership with Disney Publishing Worldwide and Walt Disney Animation Studios ignites listeners’ imaginations and provides parents with engaging, on screen – free, to share with your kids.”

The audio drama “Frozen: Forces of Nature” will consist of 12 episodes and is expected to be released later this year. So far, though, it hasn’t been confirmed if Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, the original voices of the leads, will return to their iconic roles.
