Victoria Spelling was born on May 16, 1973 in Los Angeles into an unusual family, even by Hollywood standards. His father was Aaron Spelling, one of the most successful and influential producers of his time. He was even listed in the Guinness Book of Records as “the most productive producer of all time”. And what was it for? His projects include Dynasty, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Twin Peaks, Charmed, The Love and Mystery of Sunset Beach and Charlie’s Angels.

You can imagine how luxurious Tori’s childhood was. She grew up in a huge mansion with 123 rooms, including 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms and her mother’s separate dressing room. This mansion also entered the Book of Records as the largest single-family home.

When Tori was only six years old, her father hired an acting coach for her.

“I never had to worry about money. It was my reality.”

But soon, she had to discover the other side of life.

love versus family

An affair with Canadian actor Dean McDermott led to a strained relationship with her parents – they did not like their daughter’s chosen one. Tori, however, chose to follow her heart and sacrifice family ties.

“The next day when I woke up next to Dean, I had no regrets.”

Alas, the marriage fell apart. After living together for 18 years and raising five children, the couple decided to move on.

A pathetic legacy

The break with her family backfired. When his father died in 2006, Spelling inherited just $800,000 of his $600 million fortune.

But Tori didn’t know how to handle large or small sums. As a result, the actress spent all her money on shopping, glamorous lifestyle and questionable projects, which ultimately led to her complete ruin.

Added to this were domestic troubles. Dangerous mold has been found in the house where Tori lived, but Spelling just doesn’t have the funds to buy a new house. The star is therefore always forced to live in a caravan with her children.

Health problems

In the summer of 2023, Tori alarmed her fans by posting a photo from the hospital. The actress spent four days at the clinic. And when she got out, the paparazzi found her in a wheelchair and with bruises on her face. Although after procedures or operations, many patients are placed in wheelchairs to facilitate transportation, reporters noted that Spelling needed assistance when she turned into a car. What exactly happened is still unknown.

Spelling said early on that she and her children had to go to the emergency room due to various illnesses caused by mold found in their home.
