‘Jackass’ star to wear alcohol-detector anklet after arrest

‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera was sentenced Thursday (8/24) to wearing an electronic alcohol detection ankle bracelet. The decision is part of new bail conditions imposed by a judge in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in the United States.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the star will have to wear the SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor) bracelet for at least 30 days after being arrested for disorderly conduct. Margera is also expected to attend weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings and complete outpatient treatment during that time.

Bam Margera Prison

Bam Margera was arrested in early August following a tip received from Radnor Police Department officers. The call involved an argument between a man and a woman in the parking lot of the Radnor Hotel.

Authorities said the 43-year-old star was intoxicated and admitted to “kicking a car windshield so hard it shattered”. But that wasn’t her only controversy.

In April of this year, Bam and his brother, Jesse Margera, had a physical confrontation that resulted in charges of simple assault and harassment, as well as four terrorist threats intended to terrorize another person.

Jesse also explained that he called the ‘Jackass’ star after finding a text message suggesting he needed mental health treatment.

Bam Margera was previously arrested for running away from a rehab clinic and public drunkenness. He even threatened to use “crack till I die” during a dispute over legal custody of his son.
