Not a stamp: why Maria Kozhevnikova did not marry the father of her children

Maria Kozhevnikova and Evgeny Vasiliev have been together for ten years and are expecting their fourth child. At the same time, not everyone knows that the spouses are not officially registered.

In 2011, actress Maria Kozhevnikova met with businessman Yevgeny Vasiliev. In August 2013, the couple got married at Saint-Nicolas Cathedral in Nice. At that time, Maria was already pregnant with her first child: her son Ivan was born in January 2014.

Then Maria and Eugene became parents twice more – they had sons Maxim and Vasily. In August 2023, as the couple celebrated a decade of marriage, Kozhevnikova announced that she was pregnant again.

But what a surprise for fans when they find out that Maria and Eugene haven’t officially registered their relationship and that, by law, they’re not husband and wife to each other! Yes, yes, they did not stamp the passport. And Kozhevnikova has an explanation for this fact.

“My husband and I just got married. In Russia, everyone just got married. There was no stamp on the passport. There is more responsibility before God.

By the way, the actress still went to the registry office. Kozhevnikova applied for registration of marriage with businessman Ilya Mitelman in 2009. But until the very wedding the affair never happened – Maria left her lover too jealous.
