Actress Sthefany Brito cries as she leaves the Municipal Hospital Miguel Couto, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro, where her brother Kayky Brito is hospitalized in very serious condition. The actor suffered a head injury after being run over in the early hours of Saturday 2.

“He is a giant. My son, his son, our family is waiting for him to come back, he will be here to talk to you soon,” said Sthefany, who was very excited.

The actress also took advantage of the brief conversation with reporters upon leaving the hospital to thank everyone for their support.

Sthefany Brito had already intervened previously on social media to publicize her brother’s state of health.

A security camera recorded the moment of the incident with Kayky Brito. The video, which circulates on social networks, shows the actor crossing Avenida Lucio Costa, located in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio, outside the pedestrian crossing.

Kayky was initially treated at the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital in Leblon, where he received first aid and was stabilized. This Saturday afternoon he was transferred to the Copa D’or hospital, in Copacabana, in the south of the city.

The medical report provided by the Copa D’or Hospital confirmed that the actor suffered multiple trauma and is sedated and on mechanical ventilation. Also according to the hospital, he should remain in intensive care.
