Adriana Galisteu she revealed that she felt punished by the director Walter Avancini for refusing to record nude scenes in Xica da Silva. In the soap opera broadcast from 1996 onwards TV titleAdriane played the character of Clara, the sister of Xica, played by the protagonist Tais Araújo.

His character, who initially would only participate in nine chapters, died and was resurrected three times in the plot. According to the artist it was a “punishment” for refusing to be naked.

“When I did it Xica da Silva, which was my first moment as an actress, I was a bit traumatized in this soap opera. I was hired to do nine chapters. And as far as I was hired I did very well, I only received compliments. “The director was out of his mind, the soap opera wouldn’t end, he wanted to leave me naked. I said ‘I’m not taking my clothes off'”, he commented. In the ninth episode, his character died after being sexually assaulted, but he had to continue with the plot.
