Every two weeks it will share relationship advice and react to stories submitted by users of the dating app.

In an interview with Estadaothe actress describes the reboot as “a beautiful homage” to the reality show, but still prefers to point out that “it’s incomparable” to the original.

“It is halfway between the Internet and television and I managed to create this counterpoint of living both experiences to be able to culminate in this hybrid. It is an extremely television content, a structured program, but at the same time essential and light of everything that it is built on the internet”, explains the presenter who, in addition to her work at Globo, has also become known for her videos as a digital influencer.

Who is Valentina Bandeira?

Valentina, 29 years old, is the daughter of the dancer Ricardo Bandeira and granddaughter of the writer Maria Clara Machado, she was born in France and began her artistic career in Brazil, at the Tablado Theater. Her first professional play was at the age of 12, a production of Peter Pan, directed by Sura Berditchevsky, followed by Cabaret Valentin.

At the age of 19, he joined Globo where he participated in major productions such as Geração Brasil, Totalmente Demais, Zorra, Tá no Ar: a TV na TV, Quanto Mais Vida, Melhor!, and his latest soap opera Todas As Flores, a success on Globoplay.

Originally from Carioca, it is for her humor that Valentina has stood out on social media, where she has more than 1 million followers. She describes herself as the result of references ranging from TV cartoons Globinho, Os Normais, A Grande Família, Zorra Total, to influencers Casimiro and Patrícia Ramos up to MTV programming in the 2000s.

“Understanding my humor feels like understanding your sexuality, it’s part of me. I’ve always been funny, but I didn’t think I could do it. On the Internet my sense of humor came naturally, because it’s my way of existing world. But now I just had the courage to say: ‘If I’m stupid, I’m a comedian’. The Internet gave me confidence,” he explains.

The artist says he started recording humorous videos on social media during the pandemic, mainly due to the urgency to express himself at the time. It was after a video about filming big events, in which Valentina jokes about a DJ not playing funk at 3am, that her scope began to change.

“I had been at Globo since I was 19 and, during the pandemic, I realized that the media was changing, the world was also changing, I needed to express myself and keep up with this,” he said. With the success of the videos, she gained even more notoriety when she hosted the interview podcast on Tinder, Match or Papo.

Interviews with comedian Diogo Defante and streamer Chico Veiga — boyfriend of singer Luísa Sonza — had repercussions on social media. Valentina says that, although the invitation to present the podcast appeared “randomly”, the path was essential for her to begin to further develop her eccentricity in this “halfway” between television and the Internet.

“Now, the biggest challenge is that I feel like I’ve been ‘catapulted’ into a bigger world. I had to leave that little core of Rio in the south, come to São Paulo and live a truer life (…) I come from the theater, something much more formatted, as a classical actress. I’m becoming more and more realistic and, the more I do it, the more it flows,” she concludes.
