Rafa Kalimann says she is ready for criticism in her debut as a soap opera actress

Rafa Kalimann, a former participant of “BBB 20”, said she was surprised by the announcement that he will be one of the villains in the next 7pm soap opera on TV Globo, “A Vovó Sumiu”. “I was even surprised when I saw it [na imprensa]. I already knew about the telenovela, but I was surprised by the information they spread, because I didn’t know anything either,” she told Quem magazine.

Before landing the role, Kalimann faced a problem with the Union of Entertainment Artists and Technicians of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Sated-RJ), who excluded her from “Vai na Fé” because she did not have the DRT, a professional actress registration. After regularizing her situation, she was included in the list of artists authorized to perform in the network’s productions. “I will live this experience in the soap opera for the first time. I am very happy. I think it will be fun. I want to have fun, I want to put into practice what I have prepared in the face”, she celebrated.

The influencer already anticipates being ready for the criticism that will come, especially after the lukewarm reception of her program “Casa Kalimann”. “I prepare myself for criticism, I already know it will come and it doesn’t surprise me. What I want now is to make myself happy”, she declared. She still considers her previous experience a “necessary evil” for her professional growth. “I had to deal with all of this [Casa Kalimann]. I’m going to make mistakes and I’m going to do it right and I’m going to try it and feel it,” she said.

Written by Daniel Ortiz (“Haja Coração”), “A Vovó Sumiu” will be the next telenovela at 7pm, replacing “Fuzuê”. The plot revolves around the disappearance of Frida, a character played by Arlete Salles, who will also play her twin sister, the evil Catarina. Frida’s disappearance triggers a series of events involving her five grandchildren, played by Juliana Paiva, Nathália Dill and others.

The soap opera is expected to premiere in the first half of 2024.
