Jair Renan, the fourth son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, addressed controversial topics in an interview with journalist Leo Dias, published on YouTube on Sunday evening (8/10). Among the topics, the relationship with former councilor Diego Pupe, who claims to have been his boyfriend, stood out. Renan denied his alleged homosexuality and attributed the compromising messages to an action by Pupe himself.
Relationship with the former councillor
“It’s fake news. He was my friend, he started dating me from the end of November 2021 to the beginning of December 2021. And the friendship ended, this collaboration that we had on social media, until the end of June 2021. 2022. He was my friend, I don’t have this problem of prejudice or anything, he is a human being. Whether you are or not [gay], your problem. I don’t have this problem of meddling in your personal life,” Jair Renan said.
A quickie before mom wakes up
Leo Dias then presented the printout of a conversation between Renan and Diego, drawn up at a notary’s office and confirmed to be truthful. In the messages, Jair Renan wrote: “I love you, man. But don’t leave me for this. You don’t want to have sex with me anymore, now do you want to leave me, dammit? Vivian and let’s sleep, let’s have a quickie before my mother wakes up. Come here in my room! Stop the show, please.”
Regarding the content of the messages, Renan stated that Diego had used his cell phone to send the messages to himself. “That specific day, I was drinking, I got drunk, they bathed me. They bathed me and then threw me on the bed, and that’s where I slept. I don’t know. They probably took my phone, Not I had a password, he did what he did, he sent the message. The next day, my phone didn’t have those messages.”
It’s the PT’s fault
Jair Renan also raised the possibility of PT involvement in the story. “He was my friend. I don’t know why he does all this, if it’s for likes, to become famous or something. Because there is an audio he sent to an acquaintance of mine in which he says that he currently works in the Lula government. Maybe he does it at the behest of the other side, of the right and the left, all of Brazil knows what is happening.”
Bolsonaro’s son also reiterated: “I’m straight, I like women. I knew he was bisexual, I saw him making friends with women, I have no problems.”

He concluded the speech: “My dream is to get married and start a family, I’m looking for a bride, a girlfriend, to build a family.”
