Who is Veigh, a rapper from Sao Paulo who collects hits?

The rapper appeared in two “Hip-Hop of the Year” nominations at the Multishow Awards

With over 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Veigh is a 23 year old young man who grew up in the community of Itapevi, São Paulo. His musical journey began in the rhyming circles of Cohab 1, where Thiago improvised funk rhymes in the palm of his hand, shaping his talent from an early age on the suburban streets.

This trajectory is much more than just numbers and flows. It is a success story that has its roots in the reality of the street. Gaining a solid fan base through countless shows across Brazil, Veigh is the most listened to national trap album in Brazil in 2023. Additionally, the project accumulates more than 445 million plays of its songs and sets a record for debuts on Spotify Brazil, surpassing names such as Anitta, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Juliette and Matuê. In total, it has amassed a staggering 6.5 million visits on the platform.

But the story doesn’t stop there. This year the artist received three nominations for the 2023 Multishow Award in the categories “Newcomer” and “Hip Hop of the Year”. In fact, in the last category, he appeared twice: with “Of the Deluxe Buildings” and with his collaboration on “Ballena”. It is worth noting that the hit has already surpassed the 102 million hit mark on Spotify in just three months since launch.

“My music is the voice of the streets, a reflection of what I live, I grew up amidst challenges and all the work is the result of my perseverance. I want to be an inspiration to all young people who see music as an opportunity change their lives. I’m happy to have the opportunity to see my label and my art conquer spaces I never dreamed of”, says Thiago Veigh finally.
