The Ecad survey lists the 20 most recorded songs by other performers and the 10 most played in the country
One of the biggest names in world music, Paul McCartney turns 80 this Saturday June 18th. They are more than 60 years of trajectory, between the solo career, the participation of him as one of the members of Beatles and the partnership with John Lennon.
To celebrate the birthday of the musical legend, the Central Office for Collection and Distribution (Ecad), owner of one of the largest databases in Latin America, has carried out a survey on his musical works.
Ecad pointed out that Paul McCartney has 1,254 songs and 3,175 recordings recorded in the database. Among the 20 songs of his fatherhood most recorded by other performers, the first five are: yesterday, Eleonora Rigby, let it be, Hello Judas And Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
In the ranking of the most played songs by the artist in Brazil in the last five years, the first position went to day tripperFollowed by come together, Hello Judas, Help And yesterday.
In the same period in the country, Paul had more than 75% of his revenue in royalties of public musical performances from concerts, radio and TV. Music copyrights are guaranteed in Brazil through representation contracts signed between Brazilian and foreign associations.
