The father of gospel singer Pedro Henrique vents during his son’s wake in Bahia

“Take care of your family, children, parents, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, husbands, everyone, hug a lot because you don’t know when the last hug you will give will be.” These were the words of Eleno Santos, father of the gospel singer Pedro Henrique, who died during a show in Feira de Santana, Bahia. Pedro Henrique’s body was buried in Porto Seguro, also in Bahia, last Saturday, the 16th, in the presence of the singer’s family, friends and fans. “We are in a moment of consternation to thank so many messages of affection that we have received since Wednesday evening,” Eleno said. On Wednesday the 13th, the singer was performing at an event when he fell ill and fell on stage. The singer’s death was recorded on video by several people who were watching the show.

Also according to Pedro’s father, the death certificate issued by the Forensic Medical Institute of Feira de Santana did not indicate the cause of the singer’s death. “There is no cause, it is natural death,” Eleno said. “It wasn’t tiredness, it wasn’t a heart attack, it wasn’t anything. God decided to take my son,” he continued.

According to the agency, although the cause of death has not yet been defined, the investigation does not reveal a crime. However, the final report is expected to be published only after 30 days.

“Pedro was very loved, he was the best son you could have, the best husband. My granddaughter will be two months old now and, at that time, he was the best father a child could have. We are dismayed, but knowing that he has reached his his journey as a good man on Earth”, he concluded for TV Bahia.
