Zagallo celebrated his recovery in his latest post on social media; watch!

Zagallo, football star and only four-time world champion, died this Friday, 01/05. A former player and former coach of the Brazilian national team, he was in the Barra D’Or hospital and suffered multiple organ failure. Discreetly, his last post on social media was in September, in which he celebrated the recovery of his health after more than 20 days at the time.

“What a joy! After 22 days in hospital for treatment of a urinary infection, I was discharged and returned home! I would like to thank every person who in some way participated in my recovery! Special thanks to my doctor Dr. Marcia Ladeira and her semi-intensive care nursing team!“he said at the time.

And he added: “We remain stronger than ever! Thank you all for the messages and love! ZAGALLO DE ALTA has 13 letters! YOU WILL HAVE TO SWALLOW ME! THE OLD WOLF IS ON!”

This Saturday, 01/06, the family of the former athlete revealed the details of the wake and confirmed that it will be open to the public. “The wake of our beloved Zagallo will be at the CBF headquarters (Av. Luiz Carlos Prestes, 130) open to the public, starting from 9.30 am. The burial will take place at 4pm in the São João Batista cemetery. SUNDAY – 07/01″, said post.
