Gil do Vigor speaks out when stopped at US immigration: ‘Very humiliating’

The woman told me to get up, people were walking by, seeing me and thinking, ‘Wow, what did this guy do?’ I stood there for about 20 minutes. Then the man came, opened the computer and said, ‘You can go.’ This is bullshit! Every time I have to go through this, I’m tired. Every time they get treated like garbage.”He explained.

Gil also appeared visibly shaken by the affair. “I said, ‘I’m not a criminal, I’m not a criminal to have to go through this every time. Is this like me? What’s going on, why do I have to go through this every time?’. They left. Stand there, an’ humiliation. I’m here doing a doctorate, I’m a man of integrity and integrity”he concluded.
