This Friday, the 12th, Mamma Bruschetta was admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit of the São Luiz Hospital, in Sao Paulo. The Band’s presenter had been experiencing chest discomfort for a few days.

A note explaining what happened was published on the 74-year-old presenter’s Instagram profile. The presenter was convinced by her team to go to hospital.

After being admitted to the medical unit with severe chest pain, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and cardiac arrhythmia. In contact with Earth, Mom’s team confirmed that she is fine. São Luiz Itaim Hospital released a statement with the 74-year-old veteran’s condition.

“The São Luiz Itaim Hospital, of Rede D’Or, informs that the patient ‘Mamma Bruschetta’ was admitted to the emergency room of the department this Friday (12), with cough and shortness of breath. Further tests have been carried out which have identified pneumonia and cardiac arrhythmia. The patient was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for monitoring and treatment, in a stable, conscious and communicative condition”, reads the note.
