Singer Sidney Magal revealed that it is bisexual during his first participation in the Roda VivaTV Cultura program, this Monday 15th. For the occasion, the artist responded to a question from Rodrigo Ortega, director of Cultura do Estadaoafter stating that “all humans are bisexual”.

“It’s the fact that you understand that you are a human being, that you have desires, that you are moved by people and that you have the right – if you have a life that will not offend anyone – to direct yourself towards that pleasure that you want to have. And that pleasure it can be with people of the same sex or not,” the singer said.

The artist later described having already been attracted to another man before becoming known as “Sidney Magal”. According to him, the man was a friend of the Argentine singer and dancer of TV Globo.

“He was such a captivating person, so exciting, that I started to doubt my sexuality,” he said. “We talked about it a lot and he told me: ‘If you are free and comfortable, he can count on me.’ […] And then it ended, it passed and it never happened again,” he added, also underlining the importance of respect for others.

Magal, who was hospitalized after suffering a stroke in 2023, also commented that he feels the desire to stop singing. The artist intends to perform only two shows a month this year. “That week when I had the stroke, I did nine shows in basically a week and a half,” he said.
