Angelo Garcia talked about sexual abuse in a documentary about the boy band’s secret backstage
Menudos formed one of the most successful boy bands between the 1980s and early 1990s. However, after 30 years, the group’s secret secrets came to light with the documentary series “Menudo: Forever Your”. In testimony, Angelo Garcia claimed that he was a victim of rape during the time he was at the height of his career.
“All I remember is, like, I passed out. When I woke up, I was naked and bleeding, so I knew I was penetrated. I had, like, these burn marks on the carpet on my face … I was really confused and I did. I don’t understand. ” , declared the singer.
A member of the group between 1988 and 1990, the singer reported that he had not been mistreated once: “During my stay in Menudo, I was raped several times, and this is how sexual predators took advantage of me.”
During the successful years, the Menudos had 32 boys in the group. In addition to the rape case, the documentary also talks about cases of bullying, drug scandals and exploitative working conditions.
