Pedro Manso talks about dementia diagnosis: “I didn’t want to believe it”

In a publication made this Monday 26th, the comedian Pedro Manso revealed that he had been diagnosed with dementia.

“Unfortunately, the news that I have to share with you, my friends and my fans, is not good. I’m going through very serious dementia, very serious forgetfulness,” he said.

“I decided to convey it to you and I came to this conclusion. I didn’t want to believe it, but unfortunately I have to accept it and ask God to give me a cure and protect me and alert many that he may have the same problem,” he said in the video.

The comedian also regretted having forgotten an interview: “Today, the day of the comedian, I had an interview scheduled for 8 in the morning on the Antônio Carlos show on Rádio Tupi and, unfortunately, I didn’t remember anything, only after waking up and seeing the various messages! A thousand apologies to my old and dear friend Antônio Carlos, to whom I am very grateful for my career. But it was not out of malice, friend. I must admit that I am sick, with this dementia problem , forgetfulness,” he said.

In the comments to the publication, Manso’s fans showed their support for the artist. “You are bigger than all this. God is with you and the Brazilian people need your joy,” writes one follower. “God will restore your health, brother,” said another.
