Sergio Hondjakoff Celebrates Recovery from Addiction in Social Media Post: ‘I’m Clean’

Sérgio Hondjakoff shared this Tuesday, 16, an outburst about his journey of recovery from drug addiction. After not consuming any for about a year, he celebrated the feat on a social network.

He took the opportunity to recall his discharge from the rehabilitation clinic early last year. The actor known for playing the character of Cabeção, in Malhação in the 2000s, said he had experienced a delicate moment: “But now I’m fine, I’m calm”, he said.

It is worth remembering that Sérgio, 39, was hospitalized after a live broadcast on his Instagram profile, where he argued with his father.

He even threatened and damaged much of the furniture in the house due to his addiction. She currently lives in Rio de Janeiro.

To approach the theme, he played two characters: one addicted to drugs and one in remission, who represents him. One character asks the other to use drugs, but the offer is rejected.

“What did you say, crazy? You are crazy? Have you gone crazy? It has nothing to do with what’s happening to me, I’m a drug addict in remission, I’m clean”, replies the other, who would be Sergio himself.

“You’re not involved in the parade, it’s just for today, it’s about avoiding places, people, environments, active habits, you have to hang out with a group of people who are in recovery like me, sobriety, positivity,” he adds.

Furthermore, the actor clarified that he too has stopped using marijuana and that he will undergo a new drug test in a few days.

“I’ve always been a stoner, but now I’m fine, I enjoy my cognitive abilities, my memory is better, I’m calm. I’ll tell you more, I have to do the toxicology test in three days, have you thought about whether it’s positive for any substance? I am banned by the Public Prosecutor,” she said.

In the caption Sergio highlighted two quotes. “No matter how painful the tragedies of life may be for us, one thing is certain: we must not use whatever happens. We must be ready to accept that the realities of life do not disappear just because we are clean,” the first said.

“Today they can be proud of us, it’s a good feeling to know that, in addition to being useful to others as recovering addicts, we also have value towards human beings,” the second quote concluded.
