In 2003, Anastasia was dismissed from the Bolshoi Theater troupe, where they first called with great desire. Volochkova sued, which she won. According to the theater, the reason for the dismissal of the ballerina was her form, which was too magnificent for a dancer.

Anastasia herself in her scandalous interviews claimed that the matter was different: according to Volochkova, she was fired at the urgent request of Suleiman Kerimov. Then Anastasia said that after parting with her, the billionaire decided to take revenge in this way and put pressure on the Bolshoi leadership to get rid of her.

According to Volochkova, on behalf of Kerimov, the theater management forced all the dancers to sign a paper that they refused to work with Anastasia. This information was confirmed by Nikolai Tsiskaridze, who, by the way, was the only one who did not sign these papers.
