In Cannes, Maya Massafera makes her first public appearance after her gender transition; see pictures

Influencer Maya Massafera, who recently underwent a gender transition, made her first public appearance after the change on Saturday evening, the 18th. She was one of the guests at a sponsored event at the Cannes Film Festival, France.

At the beginning of the month, Maya announced to her followers the gender change in her civil registry, confirming that she is a trans woman.

Her first introductory post was published on Thursday 9th. With the caption “Nice, Maya”, she showed her identity in a photo shoot. Maya received support from friends and celebrities, such as Pabllo Vittar, who wrote: “Happy for you.”

The 43-year-old YouTuber also said she suffered from homophobia as a teenager and attempted to take her own life because of it.

In April the first news emerged about Maya’s feminization processes, who at the time commented: “I had to stay away from the Internet and get treatment. But I’m going back and I want to tell you/share everything. You who have always been with me. But until I speak, don’t believe everything you read about me, because most things are distorted or lies.”
