A man was seriously injured after falling from the standsfrom a height of approximately 5 metres, during a Luan Santana show at the Rio Pardo Exposhow festival, in São José do Rio Pardo, in the hinterland of São Paulo. The accident occurred last Friday, the 17th. The information comes from EPTV.

After the accident, Pedro Agrizzi, 37, was taken to the city’s emergency room and later transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the São Vicente hospital. He is sedated and breathing with the help of machines. Until now, the state of health is considered stable.

The victim was in the Business and VIP box, located near the stage, when the fall occurred. The family filed a complaint with the police. Nayara Vieira Azevedo, Pedro’s wife, said that at the time of the fall, she was interacting with a friend when he suddenly “disappeared.” The couple was watching Luan Santana’s show.

“He saw a friend [e foi brincar, tipo assustando ele], then it broke and fell 5 meters. I saw him and suddenly he disappeared. I ran and saw the hole,” she explained in an interview with EPTV.

The police carried out an inspection on the site on the morning of Saturday 18th, the results should be made public in the next few days.

The event organizers said in a statement that the stage structure had been repaired and that the festival continued on Saturday.

“Immediately after the accident, the event’s permanent safety and first aid teams, made up of medical personnel and civilian firefighters, provided first aid while still on site. At this time, the organization of the event stands in solidarity with the family and is committed to providing all necessary assistance to those involved,” the statement reads.
