The fired Globo presenter succeeds when he talks about obesity and ageing

“When you lose a job suddenly, you lose your essence. It took me about a year to understand all this… I felt like a dog that fell from a moving truck,” Fernando Rocha said in Luciana Liviero’s podcast in 2022.

Five years after being fired from TV Globo, where he ran “Bem-Estar”, the presenter has not only overcome the abrupt and cold manner in which he was fired after almost three decades of service to the channel, but has also become an inspiring example of career reinvention.

Today he runs FR, an audiovisual production company dedicated to corporate projects. The journalist creates, develops and presents programs of his own and for companies or institutions.

Among the results achieved is the ’50 Mais’ podcast, aimed at over 50s interested in quality of life. Already present at the stand were the singer Zizi Possi, the actor Jarbas Homem de Mello, the journalist Márcio Canutto, the physical educator Márcio Atalla, the influencer Rita Cadillac, among other famous and renowned doctors.

The journalist also creates seasons of TV Bariátrica, an information hub linked to the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, with interviews with healthcare workers and testimonies from patients who have resorted to the operation to free themselves from the problems of being overweight.

The presenter is also part of the Tudo Bem channel, managed by Dr. José Bento, a point of reference in gynecology and obstetrics, with a long history of participation in television programs. Additionally, Fernando Rocha implements content for various corporate clients on different topics.

At 57, the presenter proves that there is an interesting and profitable life outside of Globo. She left her mark on television – her good humor gave lightness to even the most difficult topics – and now she enjoys creative autonomy and total freedom.

Although he is missing from the video, he does not need television to express himself, contribute to society with information relevant to public health and earn a living from his profession.
