This Friday afternoon (26) the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics took place. During the event, the delegations of the countries passed by boat on the Seine. However, not all the Brazilian athletes were present at the party.

This is because the entire participation in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics would last 8 hours. Therefore, the event would cause great wear and tear to the participants. Rebeca Andrade, Rayssa Leal and the volleyball team therefore chose not to participate in the celebration.

In fact, this practice is common. In previous years, athletes who would play in the first few days did not participate in the opening ceremony to save themselves. Also, competitors from the day before the event tend to prefer recovery.
