Johnny Depp’s fight against Amber Heard has turned to rock. The actor has written a song about the lawsuit he won against his ex-wife, found guilty of defamation, and will release it on the album of his collaboration with British guitarist Jeff Beck. Titled “18”, the album is scheduled for release next Friday (7/15).

“I think you’ve said enough for a fucking night,” Depp sings on the track, titled “Sad Motherf *** ing Parade”.

According to the Sunday Times newspaper, the criticism goes further. Alluding to the way the “Aquaman” actress was in court, the song reads: “You sit there like a dog having a marital crisis” and adds, “If I had a dime, I wouldn’t fall into your hand. “.

Therefore, the actor will not be able to complain when they accuse him of giving misogyny shows. At least his lyrics aren’t about drowning, burning, and rape of his ex-wife’s corpse, as he wrote – he poetically said at the trial – in text messages about Amber Heard.

The actor also does not mention the name of his ex-wife. But it’s worth mentioning that he sued her for defamation over an article, in which she also didn’t mention her name. No small details of these two.

Depp has been collaborating with Beck for a long time and in 2020 the duo released their first single of the partnership: a 1970 version of “Isolation”, a composition by John Lennon. Even before the verdict, the actor traveled to the United States Kingdom to participate in the guitarist’s shows and, after his victory, he released a new single from the project, the unreleased song “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr”.

Despite the source material, the majority of the album consists of covers (including Velvet Underground’s “Venus In Furs”, Everly Brothers’ “Let It Be Me” and Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”) and instrumental recordings ( like like two Beach Boys songs).

According to the artists, the name “18” refers to the spiritual age they experienced while working on the recordings. The album cover is a drawing by Beck’s wife portraying the duo as teenagers – or as youngsters David Bowie and Elvis Presley. Look down.

It will be released for the Rhino label on CD and digital platforms on July 15th, but will subsequently be released on vinyl on September 30th.
