Rebeca Andrade, of artistic gymnastics, Gabi Guimarães and Carol, of the Brazilian volleyball team, sparked social media after attending a restaurant in the Savassi region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, on Saturday night. The Olympic medalists received a standing ovation on the spot.

They were also accompanied by Pri Daroit, a Minas striker and former player of the Brazilian team, and the Dutch Anne Buijs, Carol’s wife.

The departure came after Carol, originally from Belo Horizonte, attended the Atlético-Mg x Cuiabá match, which ended 1-1. The central defender of the Brazilian team and bronze medalist at Paris 2024 won a jersey of the Minas Gerais club.

After the match, in the restaurant, in addition to the applause, the medalists also had several recordings made by the people present, resulting in numerous posts on social media.

Rebeca is the most successful Olympic medalist in Brazilian history, with 6 medals (one gold and one silver in Tokyo 2020 and one gold, two silver and one bronze in Paris 2024. Gabi and Carol were part of the team that won the bronze medal in Paris 2024 in women’s volleyball.
