Who will take their place? Meet Boninho’s replacement on Globo

The director Cute announced his departure from Globo on Friday night, 13/09. After 40 years, the “BBB boss” will be following new directions. But, after all, who will replace him?

Rodrigo Dourado is the name chosen by the broadcaster to replace Boninho. He has already occupied the general management of the Big Brother ten years ago, in addition to the artistic direction for five years. Now he will be responsible for the reality show from plim-plim.

It is worth remembering that Dourado is part of the team of BBB since the first edition, when I was editor. In 2015 he took over the general management of BBB, in 2021 he became its artistic director.

In addition to Big Brother, Dourado has also worked on programs such as No Limite, Fama, Estrelas, The Voice, O Jogo and Hypertension. In 2024 he also participated in the creation and artistic development of Estrela da Casa.

“Globo announced today that Rodrigo Dourado, artistic director of programs such as Big Brother Brazil and Estrela da Casa, will be in charge of the company’s reality shows. Rodrigo Dourado, who took over the general direction of BBB ten years ago and, for five years, the direction of Globo’s main reality show, will be the new director of Genre Reality, in charge of Estrela da Casa and BBB”, The broadcaster reported this.
