The Court of Justice of Pernambuco (TJPE) has decreed the Suspension of passport of compatriot Gustavo Limain addition to the registration certificate of the weapon and any possession kept by the singer. The warrant was issued by Judge Andrea Calado da Cruz, of the 12th Criminal Court of Recife, as part of the same operation that arrested lawyer and digital influencer Deolane Bezerra, Operation Integration, which is investigating an alleged money laundering scheme involving gambling.
In the decision, the judge specifies that Gusttavo Lima would have protected the fugitives from justice.
“It is imperative to emphasize that Nivaldo Batista Lima [nome de registro de Gusttavo Lima]harboring fugitives, demonstrates an alarming lack of regard for justice. Your extensive financial relationships with these individuals, which include suspicious movements, raise serious questions about your involvement in criminal activity. Your company’s connection to the money laundering network suggests a commitment that cannot be ignored,” he wrote in the document.
Andrea Calado recalls that the singer went to Greece together with the suspects of Operation Integration and points to evidence that the fugitives remained abroad and did not return to Brazil.
“During the journey, the plane was carrying Nivaldo Lima and the couple were investigating, following the route Goiânia–Athens–Kavala. On the return journey, the route was Kavala–Athens–Canary Islands–Goiânia, which suggests that José André and Aislla could have landed in Greece or the Canary Islands, Spain,” described the judge, who continued:
“These signs reinforce the gravity of the situation and the need for a thorough investigation, demonstrating that Nivaldo Batista Lima’s collusion with the fugitives not only undermines the integrity of the judicial system, but also perpetuates impunity in a context of serious crime,” the judge considered.
THE Earth contacted the team of singer Gustavo Lima, but did not receive a response until the publication of this article. The space remains open for demonstrations.
During the investigation, the Civil Police affirmed that, through Esportes da Sorte, one of the companies investigated in Operation Integration, the system would use Balada Eventos – a company in which Gusttavo Lima is a partner – and two other companies to launder dirty money.
The Pernambuco court had already ordered the freezing of R$ 20 million in assets of the singer’s company. In response to the movement, Gusttavo Lima, last week, stated on social media that “Balada Eventos was included in the scope of the operation simply because it had made commercial transactions with the companies under investigation” and claimed that there had been an excess on the part of the authority.
