Gustavo Lima’s defense speaks out after arrest warrant revoked

The legal team of Gustavo Lima spoke after the arrest warrant for the singer was revoked. In a statement sent to Quem, the lawyers said the artist has a ‘clean life’ and assured that legal measures will be taken to ‘obtain a minimum compensation for all the damage caused to his image’.

The compatriot became the target of Operation Integration, which investigates an alleged process of money laundering and involvement in gambling, which ended with the arrest of Deolane Bezerra – who was released today – just like her mother, Solange Bezerra.

“The defense of the singer Gusttavo Lima welcomes with great tranquility and a sense of justice the decision issued this afternoon by the TJPE judge Dr. Eduardo Guilliod Maranhão, who granted habeas corpus.

The first judge’s decision established a series of presumptions contrary to everything already stated in the documents, even contradicting what was stated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Gusttavo Lima’s relationship with the companies under investigation was strictly linked to the use of his image and arose from the sale of an airplane. Everything happens legally, through banking operations, declarations to the competent bodies and registration with ANAC. These contracts included several compliance clauses and were signed long before it was possible to know of the existence of an ongoing investigation.

Gusttavo Lima has and has always had a clean life and a career dedicated to music and his fans. In due course, legal measures will be taken to obtain a minimum compensation for any damage caused to his image.”
