“In the past, the idea of ​​not being eternal, of dying, was unbearable. Without a precise cause, my first existential crisis came at the age of 8, when I understood that death existed. Contrary to what I thought, the actor faced the end of his life early, at 23 years old. Shortly after having Agnes, in 1999, Gena Ribeiro died from complications related to acute porphyria. The disease is a rare and serious condition that affects the nervous system and skin, causing a deficiency in the production of hemoglobin enzymes. Attacks can last hours or weeks, causing intestinal discomfort and pain.

In that moment, in the midst of the pain, Vladimir Brichta had to face a legal dispute with ex-mother-in-lawwho took his son. The girl’s time away was a period of maturation, but also of much pain.

“My first wife passed away when I was 23. I suffered a hard blow and then came another. An arduous legal process through which my ex-mother-in-law took Agnese away from me. I spent a year and ten months without she lived with me, without seeing her for six months. It matured me, but it also hardened me a little. We have to be like a bamboo, bend it but not break it,” he told the magazine.

Currently, Vladimir Brichta is married to Adriane Esteves. In addition to Agnes, from his marriage to Gena, he is also the father of Vicente, 16, currently married. He and his family live in Rio de Janeiro. At 48, he considers himself a “vain boy” and he likes it. “There are more creams on my counter than on Adriana’s.”
