After Silvio Santos, SBT underwent a profound restructuring

In the last week alone, SBT has seen the announcement of the departure of several executives and presenters. Internally, the adjustments were seen as the broadcaster’s first major restructuring since the death of Silvio Santos in August this year.

One of the channel’s most powerful names, programming director Murilo Fraga, known for wearing the SBT jersey, has left the company where he had been for 38 years. His replacement, Mauro Lissoni, was announced last Friday (4).

Director of “Eliana” in recent years, Ariel Jacobowitz took over the direction of “Chega Mais”, but left the network due to the high salary. Another manager, from the commercial area, Luciana Valerio was fired after 18 months in the house.

As for the art department, the sport has been through turbulence. Presenter Fred Ring was sacked after controversy and Cleber Machado, who has a contract until 2026, now finds himself in a diplomatic dilemma after being invited to take a post at Record.

In December it will be Regina Volpato’s turn to leave “Chega Mais” to dedicate herself to personal projects.

In other words: By the end of the year, a lot of changes will be seen behind the scenes at SBT.
