Anyone who lived in front of a television in the 80s and 90s surely came across Ary Toledo at some point. Even before comedians dominated the stand-up genre, comedians occupied the stages of television shows and theaters with nothing but jokes, most of which were aimed at all generations.

Ary, who passed away this Saturday (12 years), at the age of 87, is so current that Silvio Santos recently asked Chris Flores to read some of his books, live, on “Fofocalizando”. Professionals like Rafinha Bastos, Danilo Gentilli and many others owe gratitude to the path opened by the comedian, who made many people happy.

In recent years, Ary has experienced difficult and lonely times, after the departure of his wife Marly Marley, in 2014. However, he never lost his positive spirit and made many people smile. His departure brings to an end a style of humor that has spanned decades and will be remembered forever. He leaves a huge legacy and will go down in the country’s cultural history.
