SBT managed to make history Telethon 2024, which was broadcast on Friday evening (8). Even after the death of the eternal Silvio Santo (1930 – 2024), the broadcaster reached the donation goal in favor of the AACD (Association for the Assistance of Disabled Children). A total of R$36.1 million was raised for the cause. SBT got this sea of money by hiring a strong team to publicize the donations. Among the guests were Virginia Fonseca, Juliette Freire, Fátima Bernardes, Maisa, Lexa, Ratinho, Celso Portiolli, Patrícia Abravanel, Xuxa Meneghel, Joelma, Daniel, Gkay, Carlinhos Maia, Lucas Guimarães and much more.
Also Eliana appeared on the station’s stage. Hired by Globo, she got excited when talking about the last 15 years of her career: “I bring a bit of Telethon with me and leave a bit of me here. It’s not just my privilege, every year I leave a bit of Telethon in you. Telethon belongs to the Brazilian people”.
He ended up saying goodbye to SBT and showing all the affection he still feels for the broadcaster: “I leave this stage here, but my heart will never leave it. It’s an honor to stand on this stage again.” And he also assured that he will return if necessary: “Next year, if you want, it’s already agreed, I’m here with all my heart and with all my love. It will always be like this.”

While editing Telethonthis Saturday (09), broadcast on SBT, Patricia Abravanel AND Celso Portiolli shared a relaxing moment recreating one of the most iconic memes of Silvio Santo. Having reached the fundraising goal, the presenters decided to repeat the famous scene in which Silvio Santo falls into the water, eliciting laughter from the audience and spectators.
