“His case was challenging for us and for the doctors. It is a rare disease for a child, but the important thing is that he is well,” Eliezer said. He stressed that despite the severity of the condition, Ravi is showing amazing progress. “Children with the same disease are much worse off, and this has amazed doctors.”
Eliezer took the opportunity to thank the messages of support and prayers sent by the family, but also launched an appeal for the attacks on the Viih subway to stop. According to him, the comments blaming the influencer for Ravi’s health have caused the couple even more suffering.
“For those who blame Viih for the birth issue, speaking without knowing, I ask: have some empathy. The person asking here is not Eliezer, but a broken father, seeing his son with a catheter, seeing his broken wife. Respect. It’s already too difficult,” he said.
He reiterated that the child’s condition is not related to birth. “Ravi’s illness has nothing to do with childbirth. So please stop accusing my wife. He doesn’t deserve it. Only those who have experienced something like this know what it is. I don’t wish this on anyone.”
Ravi was born on November 11 in Sao Paulo, by cesarean section, weighing 3,760 kg and is 49 cm tall. Despite the diagnosis, which was not made known due to the family’s decision, the child responded well to treatment.
“It’s getting better. This is the best news we could give,” Eliezer said, explaining that the initial silence about the disease was to avoid judgment and speculation. “We must have clear ideas and focus on his recovery.”
