Mexican influencer Leovardo Aispuro, known as El Gordo Peruciwas shot dead outside his home in the town of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, earlier this week. He was 37 years old.

According to information from the Infobae portal, Gordo Peruci was attacked by armed individuals who opened fire on him and his wife. The influencer, famous on TikTok and Youtube, reportedly died on the spot, while the woman was taken to hospital.

So far there is no information on anyone arrested for the crime.

Also according to the portal, the region is experiencing an internal war between two factions of the Sinaloa cartel, Los Chapitos and La Mayiza. This is already the third death of a content creator during the conflict period.

Gordo Peruci would be linked to “Los Toys”, a group of influencers led by Marcos Eduardo Castro Cárdenas, known as Markitos Toys, and which his friends identify as close to the Los Chapitos faction.

Gordo Peruci’s last video was published on the morning of December 9, a few hours before his murder. Ironically, he complained about insecurity in the neighborhood, showing that someone had stolen some of the Christmas decorations he had placed in his house.

The influencer leaves behind two minor children.

The state of Sinaloa, in Mexico, has recorded 514 murders in the last three months, according to data from the local Secretariat of Public Security, released by the Infobae portal.
