Ney Latorracaactor and director, died this Thursday, 26/12, at the age of 80. The artist had been hospitalized at the Clínica São Vicente, in Gávea, since December 20 and died due to pulmonary sepsis, caused by prostate cancer.




He was diagnosed with the disease in 2019 and underwent surgery to remove his prostate. However, in August this year, the disease returned with metastasis, that is, spreading to other areas of the body.

The actor Ney Latorraca He made his debut in 1975, in the soap opera “Escalada” and has accumulated great successes to his credit, including the series “Vamp”, where he played the vampire Vlad, and “TV Pirata”, where he played Barbosa. Remembering that, over the course of 80 years, he spent a period at Record, TV Cultura and then worked at TV Globo.
