The Osasco LGBT + Pride Parade is held again after 11 years

After 11 years, Osasco will host the fifth LGBT + Pride Parade which will take place on July 31 in the city center. The event, which has several confirmed attractions, will feature volleyball player Tiffany Abreu, who plays for Osasco Voleibol Clube.

The concentrate of Parada Oz will be on the seafront, in front of the CPTM Osasco station, from noon and will favor local artists, with a presentation of the drums of Coletivos Juntos and Slam Oz. The event continues along Rua da Estação for just over a kilometer until it reaches Avenida Marechal Rondon, where the official electric trio will become a stage.

In addition to the artists, the event will welcome activists from various collectives and representatives of social institutions. Osasco, which has the sixth largest GDP in Brazil, had four editions of the LGBT + Parade, from 2008 to 2011. The last one brought together more than 80,000 people. The event was halted due to lack of support from the city hall.
