Will it end? SBT speaks out after rumors of demise of children’s soap operas: ‘Artistic planning’

SBT has broken its silence and addressed the rumors that children’s soap operas will end. According to the Folha de S. Paulo, the broadcaster was considering ending the storylines due to low ratings.

However, after the backlash, SBT denied the information in a note sent to the press this Monday 01/20. The statement also said that the channel plans to produce a “new family-oriented soap opera.”

“The broadcaster informs that it is in the artistic planning phase regarding the next attractions of the schedule, including its new family soap opera”says the team.
